Carriage Dress - A bright green gros de Naples pelisse, corsage uni, made up to the throat, but without a collar. The sleeves are very wide at the upper part, and moderately so from the elbow to the wrist; they are confined to the arm just below the elbow with a band. The skirt is closed before by noeuds of gros de Naples. A collarette of blond net is sustained round the throat by a collier a la Napolitaine composed of broad vapeur colored gauze ribbon. The manchettes, which are of the gauntlet form, are of English lace. Head-dress, a bonnet composed of bright canary-colored gros de Tours; the brim is of a large size, low at the ears, and closer than they have lately been worn; the crown is round and low, a band of white gauze ribbon crosses the inside of the brim, and terminates in a noeud at the right side. The outside of the brim and the crown are trimmed with noeuds of gauze ribbon to correspond with the collier. Sable boa tippet.
Full Dress - A crape gown over a gros de Naples slip to correspond; the color is a peculiar shade of gris Suedois; corsage, carree; the front of the bust is marked by satin rouleaux placed longitudinally; a falling tucker composed of blond lace, goes round the bust, and the short full sleeve is also finished en manchette with blond lace. Two rows of embroidery turning in different directions, ornament the skirt; the one is placed nearly as high as the knee; the other surmounts it. The head-dress is a beret composed of pale canary gauze and satin to correspond with the dress, and ornamented with plumes of white feathers, some of which are placed perpendicularly, others droop to the right side. Necklace and ear-rings of silver, richly wrought; the bracelets to correspond. Carved ivory fan.
