Evening Dress - A gown of white and rose colored plaid gros de Naples: the corsage, cut low and square, is disposed in full folds across the front of the bust; the back is tight to the shape: beret sleeve very short and of the usual fulness. The skirt is finished by a broad hem which reaches as high as the knee. Ceinture en echarpe, of pale rose color, to correspond with the dress; the ends are richly wrought, and hang very low; the scarf is disposed in graceful folds round the shoulders Coiffure a la Flore. The hind hair is disposed in three very full bows, which are placed far back: a wreath of mingled white and red roses incircles the bows in a slanting direction. The front hair is disposed in full curls on each side of the face, and much parted on the forehead. Necklace and earrings pearls and sapphires. Gold bracelets with pearl clasps.
Promenade Dress - A pelisse gown composed of gros des Indes; the color is flamme de ponche; the corsage is of an entirely novel form, partially open at the throat, and turning backward in lappels, which are cut in irregular scollops, and edged with black blond lace. Very wide sleeve, with an epaulette consisting of two falls scolloped, and also edged with blond lace. Cuff of a very pretty form, corresponding in trimming with the corsage; the skirt is trimmed just above the hem with a double row of chain trimming. The hat is of gros de Naples to correspond in color with the dress; the crown is ornamented with a blond lace drapery, and a noeud of striped gauze ribbon; the inside of the brim is decorated with gauze ribbon on each side. The Chemisette is of cambric, richly embroidered. Massive gold chain and eye-glass. Gold bracelets and earrings. Parasol of a very large size.
